Student holidays are the perfect time to visit a new country, see new beautiful cities, and make new friends abroad. Have you decided where you will go for a vacation?
If the answer is “No,” don’t be sad. You still have time to choose perfect budget holidays from my list below:
Best Countries to Visit in Europe
When we talk about places to go in Europe, the first cities that come to mind are Paris, Barcelona, Venice. Yes, there is a lot to see there, but it’s hard to say that they are cheap enough to fit the student budget. However, these few alternatives won’t make you break your bank:
1. Tallinn, Estonia
This is an excellent option for those who want to travel Europe with a limited budget. The city is located on the Baltic Sea shore with mild continental climate, so you wouldn’t struggle from the enormous heat during the summer.
The history of Tallinn starts in the 13th century, and now it is one of the best preserved medieval cities in Europe. You can find a lot of intriguing sights that have a unique story. Here are some of them:
- Town Hall Square
- St. Olav’s Church
- Kohtuotsa viewing platform
- St. Catherine’s Passage
- Estonian History Museum’s Great Guild Hall
- Kadriorg Palace
- Kumu Art Museum
- The Seaplane Harbour
By the way, most Tallinn’s attractions are either inexpensive or even free.
Another argument for choosing holidays in Tallinn is quite cheap accommodation. The hostel’s prices run the gamut from $11.63 to 20.36 per night, and for 3-star hotels, you can expect to pay from $44.19 to $113.95 per night. Food and drinks are also wouldn’t hit your budget.
2. Tbilisi, Georgia
Tbilisi is the capital of Georgia, its one of the biggest cities of the country. The mixture of medieval style architecture and modern buildings will leave unforgettable memories.
And here’re the top 5 things to do in Tbilisi:
- Walk through the Old Town
- Visit Narikala Fortress
- Walk the Bridge of Peace at night
- Take a Sulfur Bath

Did I mention that accommodation prices start from $4 per night?

Whether you’re an explorer or laying on the beach is your passion, Bar will become your favorite place for cheap beach holidays. You may rent a room or fully equipped apartment from $17 per night.
