From this point, the question of inappropriate health outcomes in Canada is discussed in the article from the perspective of the healthcare system’s dependence on the specific economic approach.
Thus, in his article, Belchetz discusses the issue of inappropriate or negative health outcomes that are directly associated with the problem of inadequate affordability of health care services in Canada. According to Belchetz, the modern Canadian healthcare system is a “failure” associated with poor performance of healthcare facilities and negative health outcomes (Belchetz par. 2). It is possible to agree with the position of Belchetz who claims to pay more attention to the analysis of the correlation between supply and demand in relation to the Canadian health care services in order to develop the economic framework for addressing the issue (Belchetz par. 7). From this point, balancing the measures regarding supply and demand in the sphere, economists can resolve the problem of unlimited demand and lack of resources. Thus, the shortage of resources can be overcome with references to adding the private component to the healthcare system’s economic basis.
Finally, it is important to formulate a research question that can be used for the future investigations in the sphere of healthcare economy in Canada. Thus, the proposed research question is whether there is a positive correlation between the presence of the private option in the healthcare system and improved health outcomes in the nation. This question is important to be researched because the investigation in the field is helpful to identify successful economic strategies for organizing efficient healthcare systems.
