The Client Brief
Employee recruitment is a critical process because it determines the performance of an organisation. Our consultancy service decided to provide the best ideas to our targeted clients. The team will focus on the best ideas in order to make the consultancy cycle successful. The client’s company can benefit from the growing Chinese economy. This is true because China has many graduates. The main purpose of this consultancy service is to address the challenge that might affect our client’s company. The principal areas of research include “the existing business opportunities, labor issues, employee expectations, and entrepreneurial challenges in China” (Buono, 2009, p. 74). The consultancy cycle will reexamine the needs and expectations of different business partners. The team will present the best skills to promote employee participation and mentorship.
I am expecting my consultancy cycle to present the best ideas to the client. I anticipate the consultancy to be successful. I am planning to use the best research design in order to come up with quality information and suggestions to my client. The consultancy will present new findings about the existing business opportunities in China. The consultancy will promote the benefits of leadership among the team members (Buono, 2009). I also expect the team to promote the best interactional skills with our targeted client. The consultancy will also analyse the labor issues experienced in China. Such goals will make the cycle successful. My team will employ the best tactics and procedures in order to provide quality feedback to the client. The client should benefit from the process and have a successful business process.
Environmental Audit
The client’s company conforms to ISO 14001. The company adopts the necessary systems to manage its offices and business practices. Every business organisation should conform to the provided environmental policies. The country has a Quality Assurance Organisation (QAO) that ensures every business conforms to the required certification status (Buono, 2009). The Chinese government has also implemented the necessary international laws and policies on environmental conservation. This explains why my client should follow these laws in order to continue protecting the environment (Smith & Blanck, 2002).
Every organisation should improve its environmental protection practices. The client will seek to get the required certification. The country follows strict policies to ensure there is proper environmental auditing. This analysis explores the best policies and legal frameworks to take into consideration (Buono, 2009). This knowledge will help the company promote the best environmental practices. The approach will make the environment sustainable and eventually make the business successful.
Review of Best Practice
The first strategy towards a successful consultancy practice is to understand the nature of the targeted market environment. The company seeks to recruit new employees from China. These individuals will be required to examine the existing market conditions. According Burtonshaw-Gunn (2010), every successful business believes in proper environmental analysis. The marketer should understand the changing needs of the customers, suppliers, and stakeholders. The team should understand the existing threat of new competitors in the industry. The level of competition in the market determines whether the industry is successful or not. Businesspersons and entrepreneurs should be aware of such factors before investing in a new market (Burtonshaw-Gunn, 2010). The existence of substitute goods or services can also threaten the business of a company.
Every company needs to understand the strengths and weaknesses of its immediate competitors. Most of the companies providing similar services have proper leadership styles. The competitors address the altering expectations of different stakeholders. The competitors also address the challenges their employees and customers. Some of these competitors lack proper decision-making strategies (Burtonshaw-Gunn, 2010).
They also have poor marketing networks and labor management. Such weaknesses can be used to make the company’s business successful. Competitor analysis is helpful because it helps a company strengthen its practices. This analysis examines the major opportunities, strengths, and competencies that make the competitor successful. My client will use this information to redesign a better strategy and eventually become a leading player in the market. This approach will eventually make the business successful. The company should also identify the major weaknesses and threats affecting its immediate competitors. The company should use the information to construct new competitive advantages over its rivals. This practice will help the company realize its business potentials.
How to Execute the Consultancy Assignment
The team will use a Systematic Review to understand the existing issues in the targeted market environment. The research design will be a literature review to explore the business opportunities and challenges experienced in the market. The researcher will use a research question to appraise and identify the best discussions. This will help the researcher understand the market environment better. The review will identify the major obstacles, labor issues, employee expectations, and entrepreneurial opportunities in the market. This design will help the researcher identify the best approach towards addressing the concerns affecting the targeted customers (Burdett, 2003). The team will extend the review beyond the existing databases and literatures. The approach will improve the effectiveness or accuracy of the review.
That being the case, our study will rely on secondary data. The data will include “market patterns, economic growth, rate of inflation, employee turnover rate in the industry and the number of graduates in the country” (Burdett, 2003, p. 186).
This information will help the researcher make informed decisions about the problem. The approach will help our client achieve his or her business objectives. The team will realize its goals and make the consultancy cycle successful. I am also planning to examine the findings obtained from similar consultancy cycles. These findings will offer useful insights about the changing environmental patterns in the targeted market. The report will also highlight the major opportunities, government policies, political issues, and economic shifts that might affect international business in the country. The practice will present the best information to the client. Our team will also widen its research skills in order to continue providing similar support to its clients and stakeholders (Smith & Blanck, 2002). Overview of the Experience
This activity was a great experience for every person in the team. I learned new ideas to execute my studies successfully. I also gained new skills about environmental auditing. The experience widened my competencies as a team player. This explains why I will always be ready to support the business needs of my clients.
Personal Learning Goals
Every person wants to improve his or her consultancy skills. I learned how to portray the best ideas and widen my managerial skills. The other goal was to become a competent team player who can conduct a successful study. The approach can help address most of the challenges affecting my goals (Smith & Blanck, 2002).
Reflecting on the Experience and the Peer Feedback
The activity was successful because of my personal strengths. To begin with, I portrayed the best leadership skills and competencies. I applied the best decision-making and problem-solving skills. I also applied the concept of critical thinking. This strength explains why I addressed most of the issues affecting my client’s company. A critical thinker examines a problem from every angle. This explains why my skills as a critical thinker have made me a successful consultant. As well, the exercise portrayed my skills as a competent researcher. The other strength included my ability to address most of the challenges affecting my teammates (Burdett, 2003). My other strengths include proper interpersonal and interactional skills. I always use the competencies to address every adversity affecting my life.
On top of these skills, I am planning to improve my organisational skills. I will also acquaint myself with different research designs in order to come up with primary data for the study. Such areas will make me a professional researcher. I strongly believe that I should widen my critical thinking skills. Every critical thinker succeeds in life. The practice makes it easier for an individual to overcome most of the obstacles encountered in life (Smith & Blanck, 2002). These skills will make me a competent team player.
According to Smith and Blanck (2002), every person wants to become a successful leader. The first approach towards a successful life is being part of a dedicated group. I will use new practices to improve my organisational skills. To begin, I will start by being part of more groups or teams. I will also carry out numerous studies in order to become a competent researcher (Smith & Blanck, 2002).
I am planning to read widely and interact with more people. I will also read most of our class materials in order to acquaint myself with more concepts, theories, and ideas. The practice will widen my competencies. The above analysis explains why a leader can improve his or her competencies. For example, I can form a similar team to provide various solutions and information to an imaginary client or scenario. This practice will widen my leadership skills and organisational competencies. It can be appropriate to get feedbacks from my peers in order to know the areas to improve. The approach will make me a professional team player. Every individual should reexamine these ideas and concepts in order to become a critical thinker.
