Students can choose between online and campus education. The Colorado Mountain College offers campus education in various degree programs. On the other hand, California colleges offer distance education programs for students who have to juggle with time for completing an education course.

While online education can be helpful to students, it does not have teacher-student interaction which plays a crucial role in the process of learning.

Colorado Mountain College

The Colorado Mountain College is a community college which offers campus education for associate degrees in Arts and Science and several other certification programs. It is the ideal choice for students who wish to further their education or seek at least one area of specialized study.

The Colorado Mountain College (CMC) follows a semester-based curriculum and offers 32 majors.

Among these the popular ones are Bachelor of Arts (Sustainability Studies), Bachelor of Science (Business Administration), Associate of Arts Degrees, Associate of Science Degrees, Associate of General Studies Degrees, Associate of Applied Science Degree Requirements, Career & Technical Degree and Certificate Descriptions, Certificates of Occupational Proficiency (Colorado Mountain College, n.d.).

Most of the programs at the Colorado Mountain College are on campus (Where Our Programs are Offered, n.d.) as compared to California Colleges which offer online programs for most of its programs (Finding a Great Program is Easy, n.d.).

The CMC offers degree programs in almost every field. Among the notable programs offered at the CMC are Agriculture and Natural Resources, Information Technology and Web Development, Agriculture and Natural Resources, Art, Theatre, Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia, Business and Public Administration, Education, Integrated Energy, Outdoor Studies, Health Sciences, Hospitality, Tourism, Ski and Resort Management, Public Safety, Science and Engineering, Skilled Trades and Technical Sciences, Statewide Arts and Sciences Transfer Agreements (Colorado Mountain College, n.d.).

Community Colleges California

Community colleges in California also offer several degree programs. However, many of the important degree programs are offered online. Among the programmes offered are Associate Degree Programs in Arts, science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

There are other courses such as Career Technical Education Programs, Certificates for completion of CSU – Breath General Education or Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC), Codes and Data Elements, Distance Education, Honors Courses among the important ones. Most of the Bachelors degree programs in California colleges are delivered online (Finding a Great Program is Easy, n.d.).

Conclusion

The on-campus education at the Colorado Mountain College is a better choice than online education offered at colleges in California. Campus education allows students to be focused and has a greater influence on their thinking.

Also, students are better able to apply the knowledge gained in on campus settings. On campus student interaction allow them to develop the ability to solve group related problems and are better at presentations.
