As the matter of fact, fire-related issue significantly affects the habitat, making it impossible for the native spices to live. The problem is commonly discussed among ecologists; however, it demands actions. Although one should take into consideration that sometimes fire does not affect the species, animals can hide, run, or fly away, in most of the cases fire influences the area and affects the species. The pivotal purpose of the paper is to provide the analysis regarding the direct fire effect, fire effect on the species habitat or environment, and the fire use in the management of the species.

The animal under analysis is Haliaeetus leucocephalus, the bald eagle. The habitat of the species is Indiana. Haliaeetus leucocephalus usually nest near the rivers, lakes, or sea. They normally can be found in the old woods. As the matter of fact, the bald eagle usually chooses the tallest tree to have an opportunity to see everything around without any obstacles. The species prefer warm water away from human activity. That is, they do not nest near the lakes, where it is an abundance of cold-water fishes. The bald eagles prefer big lakes and high density of the old forests.

The fire has a significant influence on the animals. In most of the cases, the fire will not impact the bald eagle population in a dramatic way. Animals usually escape the fire and fly away to the unburnt areas. However, it should be stressed that less vigorous bald eagles have greater chances to suffer from the fire (Snyder para. 8).

The fire affects the bald eagles in a direct way. American eagles do not stop the nesting while the wildfire and return the next year (Snyder para. 8). The density and class of the forest determine the structure of the community of Haliaeetus leucocephalus. Taking into consideration the effect of fire on the species habitat and the environment, it worth stating that fire in the old forest can negatively impact the eagles community or even reduce the population. That is, all the threads of fire should be eliminated. Human is activity and not appropriate behavior in the forest can be the reason for the fire. The consequences for the avian community can be dramatic. The other issue is snags as they increase the probability of lightning-related fire (Snyder para. 9).

Such aspect should be taken into account in the areas where the control and anti-fire programs are essential to promote the saving of the population of bald eagles. However, it should be pointed out that snags can also be seen as the advantage for eagles as they usually nest on it (Snyder para. 10). Nevertheless, the relation between the danger and benefits of the snag is unknown. This area demands further research. Despite the negative consequences of fire, it can be turned into an advantage under a strict control. First and foremost it should be highlighted that fire reduces the litter, helps to fight the diseases, and affects only the weakest species.

In conclusion, it should be pointed out that fire risks should be controlled. Despite some advantages that the fire can bring (reduce litter, and fight the diseases), fire can remove the species and influence the habitat in a negative way. That is, the areas with the highest degree of risk should receive the priority, and in the case of an emergency take appropriate actions to stop the spread of fire.
