Position in the EU

First of all, the reality of European countries props up against the idea of business and trade globalization. This means that the global character of relationships between European countries points out the current development of these countries in their multiculturalism and flexibility. In this respect, France stands for cultural diversity and its share all over Europe and nationwide, of course. Along with Germany country succeeded in many-faceted ways for reformation considering “privatization, deregulation, reforms of the welfare state, reductions of public provisions” etc. (Habisch 366). Furthermore, the levels of life and conditions for it among French people are rather high compared with other members of the EU. This cannot but be reflected in the wholeness of social changes and improvements which appear in the country.

Immigration

Being a country of emigration France experienced several waves of immigration. The major ones were before World War II, when Poles and Italians and then Spaniards and Portuguese moved to the country (French Issues para. 1). As the chronicle asserts then the waves of the descents from Northern Africa and Asians as well immigrated to France. Some decades after such social transformations the government of the country realized the risks of such policy for emigration. Nonetheless, the government provides high standards of living, education, and employment for the citizens of the country. For example, it is not surprising that for today one of the most dynamic fields of social research in France is education (Teese 1).

Riots

Such characteristic of the internal implementation of improvements in the social affairs of individuals is accompanied, however, by a magnitude of inequality and some forms of gender or racial discrimination. In particular, the constant riots of youth in the streets of major cities in France cannot but promote an idea of social instability. It is so even because after such riots there are victims and even lost.

Nicolas Sarkozy being an Interior Minister in the year 2005 after the riots of Tunisian descent was intended to declare and adopt a “zero-tolerance” policy toward the groups of young people who provided violence in the streets and did huge harm to the economical stability of the country (Sahlins para. 2).

Conclusion

Still, the street possible riots are felt to be present in France mainly from the side of radically directed youth originating from mostly Islamic countries. This point is taken into consideration by the government, and at the time the work over the peaceful resolving of different issues as of ethnical, cultural, and religious belonging is at the process.
