Imagine you are filling out a job application on which you are asked to check whether you are “male,” “female,” or “other”. Discuss how you think you might react to seeing such a question. Do you think your reaction would be similar to others? Why or why not?

Finding a question in a job application form that requires one to check if they are female, male, or other is a shocking question. I would be shocked to find the ‘other’ option for such a question because society is yet to be introduced to the ‘other’ sex. It is apparent that the majority of the people in society are either male or female. It would be expected that the ‘other’ sex would be comprised of hermaphrodites or transgender people.

This question is based on the biological sex of the applicant, and it indicates that the job market is ready to accept the third gender. Employers are actively adapting to the presence of transgender members of society. Finding the ‘other’ option on an application form would also be shocking for me because it would mean that the employer is ready to be acquainted with the gender orientation of the applicants. It would also be an indication that probably there are transgender employees in the organization, and this would raise my curiosity to meet them because I have never had an encounter with a transgendered person.

Not everyone would react like I would because modern society has already been subjected to the idea of the existence of the third gender. Many people are acquainted with the existence of transgender people, and there is a significant number of transgender people who have proudly declared their sex. There is a possibility that the majority of the people would be perplexed by the availability of an option for the third gender. There are many males and females that have changed their sex, and they form the third gender. It is an ethical consideration for employers to provide this option, but it is bound to shock many people before society gets used to it.

Research finds that, overall, men display greater levels of sexual drive, desire, and interest than do women. Why might this difference exist from both nature and nurture perspectives?

Men display greater levels of sexual drive because their sexual desire is derived from their thoughts, whereas the desire of women for sex is a function of the environmental setting. It is apparent that men have a stronger sex drive than their female counterparts because they are more straightforward than females. Males will ask for sex from women anytime, and in any place, but women can only ask for sex when the environment suits their desires.

Sex with women is oriented toward the comfort associated with the environment. The context of the sexual encounter is the most important aspect for most women, but the men do not look into the context of the sexual encounter.

It is also apparent that men think about sex more than women. A woman could go out on a date with a man and fail to think about sex, but men always think about sex when they are on a date with any woman. Men have a need for sex more than their women counterparts, and it is also clear that the issue of prostitution is propagated from the fact that men require sex more than women, and they are ready to pay for it.

The fact that women are more likely to abstain from sex than men is affirmed by nuns. Nuns are highly likely to live without sex than their male counterparts. Men are also raised to become more aggressive than females, and society has been led to the belief that men should always be the ones asking for sex from females. This means that more men are inclined toward asking for sex than women in a relationship.
