Among the suggested list of skills, some can be considered my strengths. The first one is patient-, family-, and community- centeredness which is an important domain for an effective leader. First of all, I correctly realize the importance of the environment in which individuals live and the role close people play in it. For this reason, I devote much attention to the details related to this very aspect as they help to find a common language with various individuals, understand their current states, and form a comfortable environment. The positive climate is key to the improved functioning of the collective and patient-, family-, and community centeredness play a critical role in the cultivation of the needed atmosphere.

Relationship management and teamwork is a second area in which I am strong. Any organization consists of individuals who form teams and cooperate to achieve a particular goal and contribute to the development of a company. However, in the course of cooperation people might experience difficulties because of the differences in their perspectives on certain issues (Gordon 2017). These divergences create the basis for conflicts which means that relationship management and teamwork acquire the top priority as the potent tools to solve problems and contribute to the improved work of the organization.

My ability to work with people comes from the understanding of their demands, motifs for particular actions, and features of character that precondition various behaviors and responses to certain factors. Effective teamwork skills also rest on my ability to engage in meaningful communication with diverse individuals and establish working relations with them. In such a way, these skills can be useful while organizing the work of the collective.

Finally, I can consider the area of communication and trust-building as my other strengths. As it has already been stated, these domains are connected to the previous skills as teamwork and relationship management are impossible without improved communication and trust-building. The better cooperation between the members of the collective can be achieved through the creation of appropriate relations between them characterized by high reliability, confidence, and trust (Gordon 2017).

The only way to attain this goal is to engage in effective social intercourse that can help to discuss all existing problems and find solutions for them. My communication skills, especially listening ones, come from the ability to consider people’s peculiarities and their current demands. In such a way, I am sure that there are many opportunities for their application in working conditions that can help to manage people and collaborate with them. The improved skills in these spheres are critical for my future success, personal and professional growth.

However, some areas demand much effort to become improved. For instance, conflict management, negotiation, and resolution skills can be considered a weakness that should be given attention to transforming into an advantage. Regarding the fact that my relationship management skills are at a high level, the ability to eliminate conflicts that might emerge between people is not enough to guarantee the collective will function without any problems or factors that might stop its development of limit people’s opportunities for the further growth.

At the same time, the area of negotiation should also be enhanced to ensure that I can cooperate with all individuals regardless of their background, beliefs, or views. These competencies can be mastered by exercising the ability to work with people in emergent situations and provide them with various options that can help to make a compromise and resolve problems that might be critical.

Another area of skills that demand improvement is crisis management, which I think is closely connected to negotiation and conflict resolution. In other words, crisis helps to achieve a new development change; however, only it is managed effectively.

My skills in the needed area demand improvement because of the lack of confidence while working with other individuals who face some problems limiting their opportunities for further development. This problem can be eliminated through the improvement of general leadership skills and devoting attention to ways of resolving conflict situations and offering new goals that can help to individuals to reconsider their priorities and engage in a new process that will help to evolve. Only under these conditions, the outlined weakness can be transformed into my strength.

Finally, the area that should be mastered is the sphere of change management. I think it comes from my previous weaknesses, as during the process of its reformation and reconsideration, companies face barriers and crises that might deteriorate their functioning and corrupt results (Gordon 2017). At the same time, conflicts can also emerge because of the resistance to change and people’s inability to follow new guidelines or accept new rules (Gordon 2017).

Furthermore, change management demands improved leadership skills combined with an in-depth understanding of the peculiarities of firms’ functioning to be able to add needed alterations and create the appropriate course. At the moment, I think that I lack these skills and competencies that can be acquired only with real-life experience. However, these are still can be improved by devoting attention to the two weak spheres mentioned above and gathering additional information about the basics of change in corporations and challenges that arise during this process.

They discussed leadership skill areas that have a great significance in the real-life conditions when individuals face multiple problems that should be solved to ensure the further evolution of companies. For this reason, modern successful organizational leaders should possess an improved understanding of these skills and how they can be applied in practice.
