The online video evokes many thoughts because of the challenges people are going through with the disease. The film raises questions about the increase in the number cases of treatment resistant bacterial illnesses. Evidently, doctors are hesitant to prescribe medications to the patients showing symptoms of Lyme. The reality about the disease is that people could be suffering from it, and they may not even know because its symptoms are similar to other diseases.

The disease could be a hidden epidemic in the country because doctors face diverse changes in its management. Many people have shown similar symptoms like the patients in the video. It is notable that such people have suffered with the disease unknowingly for long because they confuse it with other minor diseases. Furthermore, misdiagnosis could make many people suffer with the disease. People with depression are referred for psychiatric intervention because healthcare professionals may associate depression with other mental problems. The other challenge with the disease relates to the inability of people to recognize its long-term dangers. For example, people who develop bulls’ eye rashes might ignore such rushes because of different reasons. People who lack insurance cover face the greatest challenge because they cannot access laboratory services. They may end up taking antibiotics to treat rushes without knowing whether the drugs can work. The medical community should have flexibility when handling patients with diseases that are not a commonplace in their practice. They should undertake critical examination including blood analysis to determine the disease.
