The Wild Bride is a drama which depicts many particular themes and raises a lot of topics. Speaking of the plot of this play, the following information is to be depicted. A drunken father has sold his daughter to devil. But a devil could not take her due to her pure nature. Thinking about what devil can do, he cuts off girl’s hands and leaved for live further being sure that no one is going to remain as pure as one was. However, she managed to. Leaving her father’s care, a girl meets a prince and gets married with him. But the destiny is cruel and they are separated. A prince is sent to the war and the girl is sent in exile again. A girl becomes wild. Having returned home a prince goes to search his bride. Meeting a lot of different barriers on their way, two loving hearts are reunited. Generally, the fairy tale is simple and impressive, but thanks to staging and design, it becomes striking and affective. The use of multi roles and vivid dancing makes this performance dynamic in several ways, first, according to the plot the main character travels to Ireland, the next moment she appears in Hungary, and then she is in Scotland; second, the main character is changing, her inner world changes and therefore, the use of multi roles assists in understanding the plot.

Starting with explaining the first point, it should be said that the whole play is supported with dancing, active music and movement. This way of staging helps make the drama dynamic and interesting for audience. The actions and decisions on the stage are expressed via singing, dancing and active moving. This way of performance helps see that the characters are in constant movement. Going from one place and another, the setting does not changed. That tree and other particular parts of decor remain the same. To show that the place has already changed, the director of drama has invented this dynamic and interesting way. I am inclined to think that the audience perfectly understands what happens from the first sight. The next issue which is to be discussed is the particular décor and its role in dynamic nature of the drama. From the very beginning of the play and up to its end the background décor remains unchanged. No matter how many countries change and how many places are visited, the setting is the same. Such particular issue may point to the general grounds all the places have. No matter where people come to, they are going to see the same trees, the same sky and the same sun. No matter where people come to, they are going to be surrounded with the similar issues, houses, shops, people, etc. People may be different and this is going to be the center of discussion in the next part. Therefore, it is possible to conclude that the main idea of dynamic dancing on the stable background is to show the contrast of life. People always hurry up somewhere, change places and even countries, but they appear among the same issues.

The next aspect in staging and design of the drama should be multi roles. This particular way of playing is described as the ability of people to change their moods and character, as an evolution of a human being. The setting is stable, people still live in the same country, they walk the same streets and perform the same tasks, but a very person has changed. It is essential to understand how the main character is connected to the multi roles and the setting, design. First, changing the actors for performing the man character, the girl who has escaped from the devil, the director wanted to show The Girl who has transformed into The Wild and who has finally emerging as The Woman. These three characters affect the behavior of the main character greatly. Moreover, the actresses change, but in reality they get jut more experience, look into world with a different glance. However, the world remains unchanged. It is a person who has changed. The design in this case is aimed to show that changing, people change their own perception but do not change the world. This is the central idea the author wanted to express, as for me.

Trying to combine all the elements together, the following picture appears. No matter what people do, and how many changes they are involved into, the surrounding world remains the same. People change, their behavior change, human thoughts and visions may change as well, but the world does not. It is people who are able to change their attitude to something, but in reality the setting is unchanged. Therefore, the dancing, design and the way how the play is performed are three specific issues which help understand the main idea of the drama. The actions in the play are different, they are dynamic and constant dancing created the vision of life. The mains character in the play may also be analyzed as they are affected by the constant desire to change the setting, to change personality but the main elements of the setting remain the same.

In conclusion it should be stated that use of multi roles and vivid dancing during the whole shows the life of people. The play teaches to distinguish between the masks and the need of people to change. The design in the drama is rustic and rooted. What does it mean? Changing our places and destinations, developing personal character and changing self people usually search for the environment which may comfort them, help get used to the new setting which is not that new in reality. The whole play wants to show the way people live. This is one of the elements of human life as searching for the meaning of life many people spend years but never find it. Te play does not exactly imposes people on searching the meaning of life it just shows that being initially belong to the devil, it is possible to remain pure. Personal development is important. It shows that a person lives and this change from the girl to the wild and then to the woman is one of the examples of a human development. Relating setting, dancing and the way of performance to this very idea, to human development, the director of the play has chosen the most difficult situation. It is impossible to forget that the girl is in the power of the devil. Thus, the real life situations are tried to be presented in allegorical form. The fairytale more and more reminds human life.
