Introduction

Paragoligic validation is an alternative research methodology that has been chosen to identify the best model for evaluating a vocational training for the disabled. As we focus on those hat have been disabled due to spinal injury, it will be necessary for us to focus on other environmental factors. These are a group of people who may not be able to walk the rest of their lives and hence need to engage in activities that will be quite flexible. Considering the injuries that this group of people has sustained, they may not have the ability of performing tasks that they used to. The first thing that will be necessary is to help them come to terms with their condition so that they can effectively take up subsequent responsibilities and training (Creswell, 1998). They need a lot of assurance that all is not lost and that they can do something better. It will be good to consider the kind of activities that they used to be involved in before they met their accidents. This will help in knowing whether they can continue doing the jobs or if their condition requires them to adapt a different career. Some may have also succumbed to their present condition in their work place and hence not wanting to go back there. They may also be faced with certain phobias that will have to be dealt with before they accept their new responsibilities.

Procedures to be used

Their family members will have to be dealt with to know what they feel about their condition. Before the assistance is advanced to them, the family members should show their willingness to assist and if they fail to, then appropriate measures should be taken. By finding out on the family background and their personal life, it will be easier to deal with them and take the necessary action. If there is a possibility of them going back to their previous jobs, their bosses will have to be consulted for necessary accommodation. It should be noted that some of them may not be accepted by to their jobs because of the misconceptions that their bosses may be having towards them. They feel that they will be an extra burden to them as they will need to be moved around. There is also the fear of them demanding an extra pay for their work because of their condition. Such people may also require medical leaves which may discourage their employers (Creswell, 1998). They hence need to be informed of the importance of the victims being accommodated in the community so that they don’t feel sorry for themselves. They will not have to be given a lot of work but simply the assurance that they are still valued. When they receive such attention from their colleagues, they will be motivated to perform even better than they did previously.

Individuals that may not be able to go back to their previous jobs probably because of their conditions or the unwillingness of their employees, appropriate training should be given to them. The choice of the training vocation should be based on their ability and interest. The training will mainly be on working with their hands and brains as they may not be able to move much. This will involve computer work, designing and making art pieces. Some of them may also be trained in the field of counseling and consultation. It is after such training and their involvement in community work that they will be accepted and appreciated in their society. Through paralogic validation, issues such as the attitudes that the society holds towards them will be sorted out and they will be helped to suit in their society. They will need to be prepared psychologically for the challenges that they may face as they perform their new responsibilities.

Criteria for research

The criteria that was used for the research was Criterion IV. Through interviews, observations, and other eliciting procedures, the native view of reality is obtained. This was basically because there was a need for the researcher to find out on how the society looked at people with disability. The interview was carried out on almost all sectors of the society that affected the disabled individuals. This will hence enable the researcher to come up with a reliable solution. There are certain assumptions that are reached at by the society that intensifies the kind of discrimination that they are shown. By analyzing such situations, it will be easier for the company to come up with a solution basing on the attitudes that the society has towards the disabled.

For instance, to measure the probability of a disabled victim being welcomed back to his or her job, an interview will be carried out on their employers and how they feel about the present condition of their former employee. Depending on the response, it will be easier to ascertain the possibility of them being accommodated back. The victims will also have to be interrogated personally to find out their willingness to move on (Denzin, 2003). It will be easier to deal with someone that has already accepted their condition and hence ready to move on. For those that are still in denial or facing a certain kind of stigma, they will need to go through intensive counseling before being given the training. This will ensure that they make decisions not out of compulsion but willingness through understanding. Paralogic validation will give more comprehensive results for the study question that will ensure that the individuals are supported accordingly. This is mainly because it does not focus on a single individual but the entire society. The information obtained will be real and hence used as a future reference.
