Contract Renegotiations for Worker

The ergonomics for every employer need to be revised and any appropriate changes deemed necessary facilitated. Ergonomics assesses the type of job each worker does, the job environment, and the tools used in course of the job. The ultimate goal of ergonomics is to ensure that safety measures are put into place for every employee to reduce work-related injuries. This can be achieved by ensuring that management provides each worker with protective gear like aprons, ear muffs, goggles, gloves, and helmets.

Also, first aid kits are essentials and employees have the right to be trained on first aid care. The essence of ergonomics is to make the employee comfortable in the workplace. Some of the changes that need to be addressed are the provision of new protective gear and educating the workers on ways to handle heavy and harmful materials and chemicals.

Socio-technical systems are used to recognize the interactions that exist between workers and the technology used in the workplace. This encourages a positive relationship between the employer and the employees. Relations that are deemed dangerous are reduced through the use of the social-technical systems approach. The different substructures are essential to every employee in the organization. The approach encourages job enrichment where each worker takes responsibility for their area.

It also encourages job enlargement, meaning the employees’ scope is extended encouraging the division of labor and specialization. When the relations and the behavior of the workers are up to the standard relationship between the employees and management would be positive.

Many companies have over the years changed their working schedule and adopted new working conditions that allow flexibility at the workplace. The flextime approach allows workers to choose a convenient time or hours that they would feel comfortable working with. In this case, the employer would set the specified limits in which each employee can work. Some of the Flextime plans include the condensed week.

In this case, the worker can opt to condense the number of hours worked in a day and the accumulative hours. This enables the employee to have extra time to relax and have other extra hours for the family. Also, the workers may choose to work five days a week accommodating their time frames and needs. The benefit of the flextime is that it would allow you, workers, to have adequate time to plan your day and work schedule. All the employees need to be satisfied with their job and the positions they hold. This would improve the quality and problems like absenteeism and grievances would be reduced.
