In most cases man fails to question and verify the accuracy of the information, hence belief in media sources. Sometimes research disapproves initial information, but statistics in reports determine the society’s reactions to occurrences. History and environment influence our responses to information as well as changes in the society. As much as man is comfortable in his surrounding, analyzing it improves our societal well-being.

According to Holmes, journalists have a lot to communicate and write about the society. This information has different impacts depending on the statistics it contains. As a result; organizations, governments and individuals overreact to such information. When infidelity and rape issues hit news headlines, people respond to them in anger. Researches give statistics of such occurrences on annual basis, thus enhancing people’s concentration to these issues.

We judge and curse our leaders such as Bill Clinton for falling prey of infidelity, but nobody verifies the information. The pain of rape cases amongst couples makes us form policies against domestic violence. This happens without understanding the causes of such social injustices. As much as we receive information from media, analyzing it controls the choices we make.

There are racial forces that determine people’s success in the corporate world, yet man fails to explore his environment beyond the scenes.

Man fails to recognize that history forms part of our decisions today. Man considers gay people outcasts in the society, while he condemns the German holocaust. Such occurrences endanger our cultural practices, however; according to the Zulu people of South Africa, others are born gay. In addition, our attempt to solve unemployment issues is failing because we believe in capitalism.

We practice historical believes in our economical developments despite their contributions to financial instabilities. Consequently, man needs a piece of mind that enables him understand the influence of history in his life. This enhances sound decision making as we invent and form part of history. As a result we get a broad view of the societal capabilities and enhance harmonious existence amongst people.

In conclusion, an opportunity to analyze information and conduct substantial research encourages use of reliable sources. Allowing people to express themselves disputes false statistics and changes their perception towards the society. Reflecting people’s attempt to fight historical injustices in our behavior enables us appreciate history.

In addition, embracing flexibility and adapting societal changes encourages man to understand his relationships with people. In depth understanding of the society helps man accept and appreciate different capabilities. As much as information unites us, it can either build or destroy our character.
