Overall, the performers were able to create a relaxed and homely atmosphere by using various elements of stage design. For instance, the scenery looks similar to the interior of a house. So, the viewers may believe that they observe a typical day in the life of a family.
Furthermore, the performers rely mostly on soft lighting which is very soothing. In most cases, the source of each sound could be easily identified. The only exception is the voice of the narrator. So, this performance seems rather realistic.
One can say that the design of the setting perfectly fits the narrative. As it has been mentioned before, the performers tried to recreate the interior of a typical house. The designers paid much attention to various articles of furniture. Additionally, I can say that the use of lighting is rather innovative and impressive.
For instance, they turn off the lights at the time, at the time, when the narrator describes the events that do not take place directly on the stage. Much attention should be paid to sound design. This performance incorporates the voice of the narrator who is not present on the stage. This technique is not widely used by directors, but in this case, it helps the director develop the narrative. Finally, one can argue that costumes are well selected.
It is possible to argue that the acting was quite convincing. To a great extent, the actors formed an ensemble; in particular, they understood each other’s roles very well. Moreover, the body language of actors and their voices were well coordinated. The performers were able to impersonate the characters envisioned by Del Shores.

For instance, Gracie and Kendall could be playing piano in the living room, while other characters were in the dining room. On the whole, various elements of the production were quite consistent with one another.
This production can be regarded as a good interpretation of Del Shores’ play. The performers could demonstrate the way in which secrets could undermine the life of a seemingly happy family. Moreover, the director, Ed Decker, managed to recreate the characters and setting depicted by the playwright. Moreover, they were no elements that could seem confusing or out-of-place.
In my opinion, this theatrical performance is very professional; moreover, it can be of great interest to various viewers. I would like to focus on the work of actors who could give the audience deep insights into the inner world of the characters. This is why this production is worth attention.
