Such elements can help university to develop its own face and image, drawing attention of university entrants and their parents. It case of University of the Incarnate Word, one can notice that it is a private catholic university that pays more attention to students’ ethical development. Analyzing such values as innovation and education, it is necessary to notice that the university should use modern technologies in order to increase student’s capability to study online and improve their practical skills, using modern facilities and technologies.
Analyzing innovation as one of the values, I think that the university uses various technical instruments such as computers, online libraries, and various programs that can help extending the knowledge and get more practical skills. For instance, studying history, it is highly important to have an access to various materials; therefore, the university should collect them in the library that would be available online. Professors and students have to discover the new method of sharing the information via Internet. Thus, if someone cannot attend the university for a while, one should get the information on one’s personal computer at home. Such method is a helpful measure that allows students avoiding various problems with study.
Although often people neglect the use of innovations due to lack of information or comprehension of positive impacts of technical resources, it is difficult to overestimate the benefits of technical facilities for each representative of the university’s community. Current tendency of globalization requires the universities help students realize their self-identity and get knowledge how to communicate with people from the different cultural backgrounds. This issue is one of the most important and it is good that University of the Incarnate Word considers ethical education as one of the basements of study.
