“We want our rights” shouted the women taking part in the women’s rally arranged by the Feminist Dialogue Coordinating Group. Over 500 people took part in the demonstration around Kasarani Stadium.

The women’s assembly was featured by chanting of various women’s rights matters and mottos, lots in English, as well as playing music and dancing. It concluded into a march. Lots of solidarity messages were nevertheless stated in English, Spanish and French.

For the decades, the number of women entering the workplace increased at a sweltering rapidity, fostering an influential cultural and financial alteration of world society. But since the mid-1990s, the increase in the deal of adult women working outside the home has stopped.

While the modification has been underway a little bit, it was originally regarded by lots of experts as simply a gap in the longer-term association of women. But now, social researchers are engaged in a heated discussion over whether the gender rebellion at work may be ended.

Is this shift confirmation for the accepted notion that lots of mothers are again concluding that they prefer to stay at home and take care of their kids?

Maybe, but lots of researchers are coming to various conclusions: women are not selecting to stay out of the workforce due to a change in approaches, the state. Rather, the broad rearrangement of women’s lives that permitted most of them to follow jobs outside the home emerges to be hitting some grave restrictions.

Since the 1960s, millions of women refigured bits of their lives, removing more time to hold jobs and vocations from every nook and crevice of the day. They married later and had a smaller amount of kids. They turned to labor-saving tools and paid others to help grip household work; they influenced the men in their lives to do more tasks.

Despite all these manifestations, women still aim to have families, bear children, and so on. Some just consider, that career is more significant, but if it is successful, they are sucked by it, if not – young women consider themselves to be unsuccessful and not adapted to having children. Most successful women, who have victorious careers start thinking over the plans of having their own families when they are 35 and older. But this time is generally featured by almost lost opportunities. But the destiny of the lifelong housewife is also not the best variant. Compromise should be found: women devote enough time to career, but never forgets to creating a family, and further – for growing up children. This would be the best variant for everyone, as it offers a balance, which lots of people lack very much.

Conclusion

The illusion, that women would replace men in the men’s work will always be an illusion. People are meant to be sexually equal, women will not be able to cope with men’s obligations, and vice versa, in spite of the tendency of women becoming more manly.
