Since their introduction, geographical studies have evolved dramatically, re-shaping the lives of people worldwide. In the current age, geography can improve life expectancy, save extinct species of fauna, and connect people seamlessly beyond geographical boundaries. However, planning is integral to these changes, as it allows for the completion of such activities efficiently and in an organized fashion. With increasing population levels, climate change, economic development, resource management, and land use, exceptionally large amounts of data must be properly analyzed before implementation through current geographic information systems. From my perspective, geography is a prominent professional field that has incredible potential, and I want to contribute to the advancement of this area to improve the lives of societies and organizations.
I first became interested in geography when I realized that it could be used to develop such diverse sectors as sustainable development, urban planning, local development, geopolitics, tourism, and transportation. Human geography and planning are essential for understanding the complexities of cities and regions and guiding their sustainable development. This major will be an excellent guide through the complex interplay of environmental, economic, social, and political processes that influence the spatial organization of human activities at a range of scales, from global to local. Additionally, I want to combine my goal to make a positive impact that will be felt globally with my passion for problem-solving and working with others.
In a world where scientists, politicians, and activists discuss climate change, I am determined to do my part by creating solutions that will safeguard the environment and our world for future generations to come. Although I have finished high school and enrolled in Khalifa University, I did not yet have an opportunity to participate in geographical studies, obtaining knowledge in this area through self-education. Nevertheless, the high school experience and my time at Khalifa University have prepared me for academic life, providing me with the knowledge and skills to complete educational courses and participate in scientific research successfully. Furthermore, I am highly suitable for this major as I am a hard-working and ambitious student focused on ensuring a bright future for myself by obtaining relevant expertise.
As my hobbies include experimenting and gaining new experiences, I am exceptionally open to novel opportunities and can easily adapt to the educational environment. Additionally, I am highly skilled in the French language, having received excellent marks while studying this subject. This major would help me learn different statistical analysis methods for geographical and planning solutions, thus enhancing my professional skills. Through my coursework, I hope to improve my analytical acumen and gather the programming knowledge needed to complete extensive research tasks. I wish to use this information to derive meaningful conclusions from large sets of data and prepare effective solutions for various living sectors.

I find myself drawn to the study of the natural environment and physical landscapes, as well as to the study of people, places, and cultures. As this program in Geography and Planning is one of the most prominent academic opportunities, graduates are able to gain occupation in corporations almost immediately after graduation.
