Friends should be with you out of choice and not because they have been forced to do so. Many people can claim to be your friends but a large number of them will always disappear when things are not good.

A true friend is the one who sticks by you when things are not good. A friend is that person whom you enjoy their company at all times. A friend makes you smile and is always willing to listen when you have something to share. Genuine solidarity in times of trouble is a good indicator of who a true friend is. It is important to highlight some of the qualities of a true friend in detail for us to have an in-depth understanding of the actual meaning of a friend.

It is important to have a friend who is always willing to listen to you. A friend should understand things from your point of view without judgment. A friend should feel some empathy when listening to you even if he or she does not have the solution to your problems. A friend can not be helpful to you if he or she does not care about what you need.

This is very important during tough times when a person may not have the courage to ask for help. A true friend will always be there for you by helping you get what you need. Hugs and smiles are some of the physical signs of a true friend that cares for you.

Friends will try their best to maintain contact with you even if they are away. A friend will always try to keep in touch through calling, texting and social media when he or she is not nearby. Every human being desires other people to say good things about them and a friend should be able to do that without making a big deal out of it. It is important for a friend to get all the facts right before coming in to support you. It is only a true friend who will come out to save you from a dangerous situation without caring about their safety.
