Current Health-Care Initiative
Health is a precious commodity that must be protected and provided to all citizens of the United States. Federal health legislation is key to sustaining the health initiative at the national level. The legislation currently being implemented at the federal level in the US is the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, also known as the ACA (Zhao et al., 2020). This law is designed to provide access to and support for healthcare for all Americans. However, the fight against the consequences of the pandemic has led to severe difficulties in accessing this law.
Current Legislative Issue
One of the challenges facing America’s health law is the lack of access to all essential healthcare services and products. There are also specific problems with the cost of healthcare services and products, as well as the lack of accurate and affordable tools for consumers to manage their treatment and health (Park et al., 2019).
Active Advocacy Roles for Health-Care Professionals
As a federal health advocate, you can help make healthcare accessible to all. You can participate in conversations and debates about laws that affect everyone’s access to healthcare. You can also participate in initiatives that promote and expand access to health care for the underprivileged. Participating in initiatives to enhance healthcare consumers’ rights and expand their access to information about their health and treatment would also be beneficial.
Effective Tactic for Supporting the Selected Legislation
One tactic for advocating a health initiative or legislation is to utilize media to educate the public about its current issues and goals, and communicate them to a broader audience. To achieve this, you can write and share publications on social networks, conduct radio and television interviews, invite initiative representatives to report on various events, and so on. Such actions will help draw attention to current problems and the initiative, as well as attract support for the implementation of legislative measures.
Federal health laws play a crucial role in maintaining the nationwide health initiative. Citizens can play an active role as health advocates, employing a range of tactics to promote a health initiative. As Marshall-Lee et al. (2020) state, the media can help draw attention to current issues and initiatives and garner support for legislative action. In this way, every citizen can play a significant role in providing affordable and effective health care for all citizens.
