And it’s achieved by taking part in the labor market. The program’s goal is to turn out a citizen who can compete on the global stage. A vital society, a thriving economy, and an aspirational nation are the aims of the Human Capability Development Program, a Saudi Vision 2030 reform project.
The program is built on three pillars: building a strong educational foundation for everybody, preparing for the future job market both locally and globally, and providing opportunities for lifelong learning. While instilling value systems and developing knowledge, the HCDP aims to prepare students for the future labor market by teaching them skills they will need now and in the future. To make the program a reality, I’ll discuss the obstacles and ideas for improvement in this paper.
How to make the Program Real
By understanding the issue at hand and devising solutions, I plan to bring the program closer to reality. It will give the direction to focus on the program’s desired output, which is to produce a globally competitive citizen, and it will boost their employment prospects in globally leading businesses or organizations. As a result, the program will help citizens compete on a global scale and export their knowledge. Students will become creative people, proactive learners, team players, and communicators due to this strategy. I’ll also make certain they’re well-trained, disciplined, and optimistic.
Challenges of Making the Program Real
It isn’t easy to prepare young people with the potential necessary for the future local and globally labor markets while also fulfilling entrepreneurial and innovative aspirations. Several obstacles stand in the way of bringing the program to reality:

Low enrollment numbers in education and training combined with a lack of a unified method for developing skills and capabilities result in a mismatch between educational outcomes and the constantly changing demands of the labor market. About 23% of students enroll in technical training, and that number is expected to rise.
Theoretical Approach with Low Focus on Practical Experience
The current educational system in Saudi Arabia emphasizes theory over experience in the field and entrepreneurship skills more than in other parts of the world. In Saudi universities, the curriculum is heavily weighted toward theory, and there is little collaborative effort with the industry or departments responsible for research and development. Because of this, students are unable to gain the practical experience they need to improve their employability.
What I Like Most About the Program
I appreciate this program’s strategy, which was shaped by an expert advisory board and aligns with vision 2030, global trends, and other current events. HCDP collaborates with a wide range of organizations and initiatives in the Kingdom and is built on three pillars that give it the flexibility to adapt to changing labor market conditions both locally and globally. That the program’s goal is to give citizens the skills they need to compete internationally by instilling and developing fundamental skills while also enhancing knowledge is something I appreciate.
Suggestion to Further Enhance the Program
As a result, my recommendation is that the program places a high value on strategies that prevent disorganized behavior from occurring. By instilling and continuing to develop fundamental and prospective skills, as well as increasing knowledge, they will be able to achieve the objective of making sure that citizens have the requisite skills to compete globally.
