Disability is often a part of human existence and may arise from different facets of life, including environment and lifestyle alongside genetics. The World Health Organization considers infirmity as an occurrence that all people go through either permanently or temporarily at one point in life because it is inevitable. Therefore, I agree with the statement that all impairments are perceptions of societies around the world. The arguments of what falls under human malfunctions portray a wide diversity around the universe.

Statistics among the Irish population showcases that a substantial number of people report disability and discrimination cases annually. In essence, all aspects of discrimination often emanate from social ideologies that may impair such individuals’ normal functionality. Persons with deformities often become victims of stereotypes and negative perceptions when seeking employment opportunities in a society. Evidently, the citizens with various disabilities may face challenges acquiring and maintaining positions in the work environment. Therefore, functional impairment dictates employability and efficacy of any citizen right from where they reside.

Simultaneously, the National Disability Authority (NDA) considers public attitude towards individual incapacity as a matter of crucial concern among neighborhoods, schools, and workplaces. NDA establishes that there is a direct link between impairment, social interactions, and self-productivity. Thus, someone’s wellbeing may be altered by the way communities treat each other. Likewise, there is an apparent concern on public education about self-awareness and disability studies to promote social inclusion in all spheres.

To conclude, the notion of deficiency emanates from the social perceptions of individuals towards one another. Physical inefficiencies and mental incompetence may paralyze people’s effectiveness in societies, thus, impairing their social and economic performances. However, there is a need to understand each debate’s value in the context of how they affect the general productivity and social developments of people in communities. Thus, it is important to approach all impairments based on the social norms and behavioral concepts in groups.
