There are many public policy issues that may affect health care organizations and patient care. In America, each state has its legislatures and laws to protect people and support the development of the nation. Reproductive health remains to be one of the burning issues for consideration across the United States. Female and infant health, contraception, and abortion are discussed in terms of this public policy. For example, Colorado is one of the few states where patients may be allowed to have a late abortion without a regular abortion provider. Many people from the nearest states where late abortion is not allowed are ready to come to this state and ask for help.
To provide people with clear and legal instructions in their intentions to improve reproductive health, this public issue has to be resolved by either legislation when a person may see the law and follow it or regulations when people obtain the instructions to be followed. At this moment, there is a law, Reproductive Health Care Access, according to which all citizens of Colorado are free to use the services of different health care organizations and obtain the required portion of comprehensive reproductive health care. This resolution was made by the Colorado House of Representatives at the beginning of 2017, and copies of the resolution were sent to President Donald Trump, Vice-President, and the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives.
The issue of reproductive health care may be put on the federal policy agenda as soon as the President is able to read the resolution and make his final decision. Colorado citizens have already been able to evaluate their opportunities and cooperation with health care organizations. It is high time to offer this project to other states and help female patients avoid complications caused by problematic pregnancies, unexpected health complications, and sudden deaths.
