Introduction
Based on the scenario from Red Carpet, purchasing a thriving theater known as Sparkster Theatre will lead to the need for changes to ensure the company’s proper functioning.
However, the company needs to adjust by reorganizing the business to make it more efficient and fully adapt to customers’ needs. Red Carpet should use the development changes to promote previously established business processes. Small steps taken by employees will lead to increased profits and satisfy their market requirements. One of the development changes the company must make is the reorientation of marketing strategies. Updating payroll procedures and improving existing billing and reporting methods are other ways to develop the company’s activities.
Discussion
The change process should include employees of the sales and marketing departments. Since several Red Carpet divisions are experiencing staff turnover issues, employees will be in charge of the change process. Their interests should be at the top of the list of priorities of managers and owners when planning the transition to a new personnel policy (Carnall, 2018). The second important group of stakeholders is managers. Since Red Carpet largely depends on general managers and vice presidents in several divisions, it is necessary to consider their interests to ensure their above-average efficiency and loyalty to the company’s cause. The last group of stakeholders is the owners, who need to change their attitude toward personnel management.
Conclusion
The first step to change is determining what changes mean in the company’s context. To assess the significance of the changes, Red Carpet needs to critically evaluate all its performance indicators and understand why they are not high enough (Carnall, 2018). Once the data is collected and the need for changes is determined, the second step will identify and evaluate stakeholders and how the new policy will affect them. This will allow a deeper understanding of the risks and disadvantages that should be considered at the implementation stage. It is also essential to plan how the changes and actions will be communicated to stakeholders.
