Introduction
Being awarded the Safety & Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) qualification means that the company has received special achievements in the field of assistance. This award is an indicator that the institution complies with all the rules and will provide qualified prevention of injuries and diseases (Sweatt, 2020). However, in order to obtain such a status, some steps must be taken.
Discussion
The first step is for the head of the institution to apply for the status by filling out the appropriate form. This will initiate the review process, and the program manager will review the working conditions. The SHARP manager will then review the completed form to determine if the company meets all or part of the required criteria. The reviewer may recommend that a company be given pre-SHARP status if it meets most of the requirements. Further, in order to secure the status, the head must send an appropriate application. After that, the director determines whether most of the requirements are met, and if the answer is positive, then the organization receives the status of pre-SHARP. If the director approves the status of the company, then they send a letter with the requirements that must be met in order to approve this certificate.
Conclusion
The process of obtaining the status is complex and is a series of checks and negotiations. If a company successfully fulfills most of the requirements, then it has the right to apply for a certificate. Otherwise, her request will be rejected with an indication of the reason and the mistakes made. Once a company has received pre-SHARP status, it can try to meet all the conditions for its certificate to be upgraded to SHARP.
