During the past several centuries, people attempt to resist social inequality in a great number of aspects. In addition, overcoming suppressions of different types appears to be one of the primary objectives in modern society. For instance, in Medieval times, people were determined to overcome slavery. An illustrative example of the fights against inequality is multiple movements in the 20th century when people were eager to receive human rights and defend the social status of women. However, in the context of present-day developments, although it may seem that suppression is a relic of the past, social inequality still exists and has a negative influence on the lifestyles of broad categories of the population.
One of the most serious and widely spread issues regards the lifestyle of Arabic women. The suppression in their relationship is extremely severe, and it may be compared to slavery to some extent. They are not capable of transporting independently where they are willing, and they are not allowed to receive a job. Some Arabic women have to encounter violations from their husbands without the possibility of being defended by the law. This situation is similar to the life conditions of Afro-American slaves, which are described in the book The Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass (Douglass, 2016). He describes his life as being considerably suppressed by white people (Douglass, 2016). Both in the case of Arabic women and black slavery, people are depicted as their basic rights by some groups of individuals, which is inappropriate.
In conclusion, it should be mentioned that social inequality exists in the modern world. Arabic women suppression appears to be only a part of the amount of this tendency, and other categories of the population stay vulnerable to it. Social inequality should have rational bounds, though basic human rights are severely violated, it is absolutely unacceptable.
