In business, it is important that a certain level of product quality is met and an effective method for evaluating the standards is applied. Quality control is important, as it allows you to minimize risks, save money and time in production. One of the most relevant tools to achieve such goals is the implementation of the Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL) system. This strategy is aimed at ensuring the quality of the goods by sampling several products from the entire lot and evaluating them according to the necessary criteria (Sakr, 2020). There is a tendency that the higher the required quality indicator of their manufactured products, the more stringent and greater the AQL requirements (Sakr, 2020). In modern industries, it is not possible to check each unit, which predetermines the need for the introduction of such a system.
Its other key advantage is that the assessment methods are international, that is, relevant for most countries. This will create a credibility authority and eliminate additional checks. Most often, the system is installed to identify defects of various levels (Sakr, 2020). The key metric is the percentage, which measures the total number of units of goods relative to the entire supply (Sakr, 2020). It is important to emphasize that the system does not guarantee the complete absence of defects; however, it allows them to be detected in a timely manner and calculate the percentage for the entire delivery (Sakr, 2020). Thus, all the features of this system have a positive impact on business and production, facilitating collaboration and quality control (Sakr, 2020). All these data allow management to state that the introduction of AQL methods contributes to the rapid and effective development of a business, strengthening it in the market.
