The problem of gender equality is one of the most vital issues which should be adequately addressed in our society. Even though recently, different gender movements have noted no significant improvements in the community; this issue is essential for the future development of society. There is a gender approach to managing the healthcare sphere. It is devoted to gender-included collection and processing of the healthcare system (Regenold & Vindrola-Padros, 2021). Moreover, the strategy states that gender peculiarities should be included in healthcare policy formation (Regenold & Vindrola-Padros, 2021). Mortality, morbidity, and healthcare service usage data show substantial differences between women and men. Health systems performance can make an essential contribution to achieving gender equality and equity by taking into account gender aspects in various areas. Identifying gender inequalities and ensuring gender equity are also essential components of good governance and strategic management of health systems.
There are particular ways in which nurses can enhance gender equality. One of the major problems is the gender disparities in the health and social care workforce. Being at the center of the problem, nurses can conduct more proper research in the field of discrimination. Research should prioritize low and middle-income countries, take into account gender and intersectionality factors, and ensure the inclusion of data disaggregated by sex and gender. There is also a simpler way for a nurse to enhance gender equality. It is related to eliminating gender stereotypes in working with patients and colleagues. In order to change society to the more gender-neutral one, the integration of tolerance to gender differences should be introduced in all spheres, especially in the healthcare sector. Nurses may enhance more tolerant communication as mediators between clinicians and patients.
