The habit of drinking and consuming alcohol has been the focus of attention since times immemorial. Alcohol consumption, more appropriately termed as substance abuse, may have many side effects and can produce certain chemicals in the body so that the person loses control over the mind. The effects of repeated use and abuse are many, but the researcher aims to focus on one effect that alcohol consumption is likely to cause in the person.
Does the researcher aim to explore whether the consumption of alcohol can make someone of the opposite sex appear better to the consumer?
The researcher is of the view that the more a person drinks, the more attractive the members of the opposite sex seem to appear.
The researcher aims to establish this fact by analyzing a group of individuals in the age group of sixteen to twenty-six years. The researcher seeks a universal appeal and so would like to include members of both sexes in the research. The researcher does not have enough data to reveal the economic status of the subjects.
The researcher also does not know whether the subjects are from rural or urban backgrounds. However, the researcher does wish to employ subjects who are in good health and do not have any history of diseases. The researcher aims to employ about fifteen thousand subjects for the completion of the researcher so that a widespread sample can bring enhanced focus to the study. The researcher aims to employ the survey method for the research. Differently worded surveys shall be used by the researcher, with a range of questions.
The survey would be given to the subjects, before and after they consume alcohol. Some of the questions which are likely to be included in the survey are:
- Q. 1. How many people would you choose to go out within this room at present?
- Q. 2. How many people would you not want to go out within this room?
There would be obvious sub-questions included in the survey such as:
- Who are the people?
- Do you know them?
- What attracts them to you?
The researcher aims to enable people to learn whether the consumption of alcohol plays a role in attracting them towards the opposite sex.
