Introduction
The profession of a human services worker is an undeniably difficult one. A person who opts to become a human service worker is bound to meet many challenges in their professional life. The ultimate factor that makes the overcoming of these challenges easier is the establishment of a professional life goal. When a professional life goal is created, a person sees it as their navigator that helps defeat the most difficult of adversities.
Life Goal
My life goal in this profession is to help people to live their lives to their full potential despite the hindrances and difficulties that they face. In order to achieve this goal, I will adhere to the strategy that has been proven to help many human service professionals: creativity (Kassymova et al. 2019). By being creative, I will be able to find new solutions to help the people and be less stressed and burnt out.
Challenges
There are several challenges that I expect to face as a human service worker. The first challenge I know of is the ability to build strong and lasting emotional relationships (Nuekrug 2013). Another challenge that I am aware of is the lack of long contact between the patient and the professional, which affects the thoroughness of the care process (Black 2022). I intend to meet these challenges with enthusiasm and readiness to do my best to overcome them.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the challenges in the sphere of human service present an issue that could be solved by establishing a professional life goal. My life goal in this profession lies in helping people forget about their disabilities and issues and live to their fullest potential. The challenges I expect to face are building strong relationships and lacking the time needed to establish them.
