The modern world is distinguished by its tolerance and humanity; therefore, there is now an active struggle for the rights of black people. These people have been disadvantaged for years, and now they finally have the opportunity to change their lives. Racial prejudice is still a national issue, and white people often feel guilty for unfairly treating people of color, so the world needs to learn to respect other races.

Racial prejudices are fading today, and people are trying to achieve social equality. The definition of race differs from generation to generation and depends on the context (Roberts et al., 2020). Racial discrimination is not an acute problem in modern society, but it is still a national problem, as it has been a little time since black people began to fight for their rights.

What white people do not even perceive as their advantage can be tough to achieve for people of color? Sometimes it costs more money or time to achieve the same goal as the white man. Sometimes, people have to sacrifice their health in favor of practices used to accomplish some of the hallmarks of privileged whites, such as skin whitening and hair relaxers. The problem is that today’s children hardly talk to their parents about racial discrimination and are less sensitive to it (Roberts et al., 2020). Everyone must empathize with others at the right time, regardless of skin color. When humanity stopped discriminating against each other on that basis, it would be possible to say that equality had been achieved.

Many white-skinned people also feel uncomfortable when people of color tell them stories about discrimination. First, the natural feeling of empathy leads most people to try on the described situation. Even though the white person may not have done direct acts of oppression against people of color, guilt can still appear when they understand the privilege of their position. Feelings of guilt and shame are certainly not pleasant, but their appearance can be beneficial and improve mutual understanding between people of different backgrounds.

In conclusion, racial discrimination is still an unpleasant topic for black people, as it will take time for society to get used to the new world order. White privilege has been challenging for black people, so humanity needs to learn to treat others equally. Talking about discrimination can be uncomfortable for whites, but it should encourage the world to change its beliefs about black people.
