Intervention Grid
Marilyn Monroe was an American actress, singer, and model who was born in 1926 and passed on in 1962 at 36 years old. According to Dorfman, Soule, & Desai (2018), Marilyn Monroe died of overdosing of barbiturates at her home in 1962. Marilyn Monroe’s life was affected by the psychological, community, organizational, and political structures that can be represented in the chart on assessment of the intervention grid below. The thematic approach for the intervention is why Marilyn Monroe was addicted to substance abuse.

Evaluation
Assessment skills that would be approved require more than one ability to enable the askance of questions beyond explaining the reason why such things occur when collecting psychological information. Therefore, analyzing the organizational, community, and aspects is also important in explaining the thematic approach chosen. Evaluation of the problems associated with each of the psychological. Organizational, community and political structures are dependent on the complexity of interruption of the problem by a human being. In that, the complexity continues to increase as more people are added or participate in the assessment too. In terms of Marilyn Monroe’s problem, addiction to substance abuse is dependent on the number of times the substance involved is consumed during each day, the number of days in a week or month, and the frequency of observation.
On the issue of Marilyn Monroe’s addiction, it is important to ask oneself a question on why would the said person abuse substances. On the same note, it is important to know how did their addiction come if it was a result of a mental problem or inadequate or lack of parental guidance and skills. Similarly, it is important to ask whether overcoming stage fright when performing leads to the artist using drugs. This is in a way related to social discrimination and the feeling of isolating oneself from the crowd.
However, evaluating the problem at organizational, community, and political structure is cumbersome compared to evaluating it at the psychological structure. Evaluation of the problems at the psychological stage applies the adaptation of several psychological theories to evaluate behavior and explain the repercussions of the behavior. Most of the theories assert that most drug addiction tendencies occur as a result of reinforcing the behavior. Marilyn Monroe was affected by child neglect and therefore according to the psychodynamic theories, lack of parenting skills at a younger age is the root of all personal and interpersonal problems and therefore, this explains the attitude and behavior of substance abuse over time in Marilyn Monroe’s life (Authur et al., 2019). The theoretical approach, therefore, leads to theoretical formulations that are directly involved psychiatric nurses, social workers, and physicians to provide therapy as a way of interventions to the problems. Organizational, community, and political structures according to Authur et al., (2019) asserts that the related issues occurred in Monroe’s life due to the interaction and involvement with people. Therefore, to combat addictions in people such as was evident in Marilyn Monroe’s life, it is important to understand that in most cases the client has visited some other treatment programs before coming to you hence an approach to the intervention is needed.
