Nick Carraway follows his father’s advice to remember that people have different life conditions. There is no point in judging them. However, there are many The Great Gatsby characters’ who are as careless as Tom and Daisy. Nick is not pleased with it at all. In chapter 9 of the book, Nick describes Daisy and her husband, Tom. He points out that the money they have is capable of solving any problem of the couple. The analysis of other events reveals an interesting fact. Carelessness is the principal life value for most wealthy characters, except for Gatsby.
