Art Object Shares Qualities with an Object that is Not Art
A similar quality that can be seen between art, such as The Persistence of Memory, and not art such as plant, revolves around presentia actuale. For instance, an art can be put on exhibition in the museum while not art can be presented anywhere including the laboratory. The setting acts as the basis for interaction with the plant and The Persistence of Memory. Most importantly, art and not art both have the ability to play-out some form of emotion. For instance, a rose flower just like a piece of art can generate a specific emotion.
Connection between the Two Concepts
The connection between these two concepts is in the perspective. The moment an individual changes the perspective on the way a subject is viewed, analyzed and meaning attached to it – then one has made art (Orlenko and Ivashko, 2019). However, when the same is repeated without changing the perspective – the individual will have not made art. Most importantly, there must be subject and unique view on an object for it to become art.
