The Business Needs
Having considered the requirements offered by the owner, it has been concluded that the ABC Video needs to create software that is going to meet the business needs. First of all, the system is going to account for the available products and differentiate between prices, thus, different products are going to cost differently. Second, the system is going to unite all the stores with the system allowing access from any spot to any store by means of authorized access.
Additionally, the customers will be given an opportunity to see the products available online, to rent the items they need and to make sure that it will be available when they come. It will increase the number of purchases. Finally, the system is going to have the statistics devoted to the sellers and the number of sold items. The professionalism and effectiveness of the employees are going to be measured.
The Project Purpose
The overall goal of the ABC Video Store Project is to make sure that the business needs are met. Therefore, the new rental project is going to be directed at the business to consumer electronic commerce, as we plan to increase the number of customers by means of online renting (Rainer, & Cegielski, 2010). Moreover, the price is going to be different as the system will have an opportunity to differentiate between mediums and to offer the customers the products they need by the price they deserve. The opportunity to check the products in all shops by means of this new software will allow regulating the delivery in the shops and controlling the selling. It will help improve the company’s performance (Turban, & Volonino, 2009). Moreover, this project will allow the owner to control the sellers of all shops no matter where he is at the moment.
