Introduction
In modern times, it is worth being aware of the importance of the structure of society and human interaction, which is becoming more complex and accelerated in parallel with the dynamics of people’s lives. For this reason, special attention is paid to the future of each member of society, which is present in the hands of everyone in the form of their contribution to support the vulnerable and fragile. The current essay intends to focus on young people as they become adults and transition from adolescence to a considerable critical segment of the population. Most individuals, without realizing their capabilities, can actively influence the improvement of psychological health and confidence of their young people and should seek to help them actively.
Problem Statement
The transition period from adolescent instability to the seriousness of adult existence can be cited as the most difficult, involving external and internal factors. An often-overlooked aspect of the mental health of others, which is the responsibility of each established person, requires constant attention and preventive measures when necessary (Everaert & Joormann, 2020). In other words, young people of college or post-secondary age around their twenties are at the crossroads of self-discovery, life choices, academic or collective pressures, and exposure to societal expectations. Thus, mental state problems can manifest at this stage, potentially distorting the trajectory of an individual’s being.
Common Assumptions
The basic position of this paper is to assert the ability of each of the readers to affect the situation in a positive way. However, there are widespread misconceptions that mental health issues are a sign of weakness or are individualized to those experiencing a specific identity crisis (Ahonen et al., 2019). Moreover, many people choose not to know or ignore the subtlety of each individual case, which often has a common denominator in the format of social standards, academic stress, or the need to build relationships. Thus, the stigma present compounds the problem, preventing youth from acknowledging their struggles or seeking help.
Opposing Views Analysis
The basis for arguing opposing views to the main thesis from people who are generally aware of the problem is to dismiss and recognize the naturalness of mental instability as part of growing up. Undoubtedly, forming such a view requires at least a primary understanding of the issue, but it can be refuted by research and case studies (WHO, 2023). Thus, lack of support, awareness, or denial of a problem is far from always conducive to learning to solve one’s own problems and more often provokes severe consequences. Such outcomes can range from decreased academic performance to desocialization with irreversible damage to well-being.
Possible Solution
To begin with, it is worth realizing that every adult has the ability to positively intervene and should not be left behind. The solution requires a comprehensive plan that depends on the specific situation. Likewise, it includes common themes like educating young people and giving them the tools to recognize and manage their mental state effectively. Moreover, destigmatizing and eliminating unhelpful prejudices and alienation is generally good for society, and awareness campaigns or global discussions to create a healthy environment do not require special education or skills. In other words, promoting the perception of seeking help through strength rather than weakness is available to everyone.
Problem Relevance
In this context, it is also worth pointing out that the need to solve a problem goes beyond the individual level and requires a generalized effort by health-conscious people to improve the quality of existence of any community. Beyond health and self-image concerns, improving the psyche of young people will contribute to a more sustainable and productive workforce in the future. Reducing the social burden of complications from mental health problems will be an investment in the success and prosperity of posterity.
Impact of Solutions
General awareness in all areas cannot be considered useless, and the same applies to the topic under study. Integrating the normality of assistance will protect those in need when support services are perceived as standard in the work or educational environment (Chen et al., 2021). Seminars, webinars, and counseling services are pretty readily available benefits whose effects of implementation can be assumed to be extremely satisfactory and necessary. In addition, the very level of compassion and understanding in society will increase through social development and interaction.
Personal Reflection
In my opinion, our current collective consciousness lacks unity and depth of inner connections. I have experienced firsthand the complexities and feelings of loneliness amidst misunderstanding over the period of growing up. Thus, if most of those reading this essay would reflect and consider their options for correcting situations and attitudes and providing help, the world would improve. It is further confirmed by my experience of getting support and reaching out of academic stress, which is impossible without outside help.

In summary, many are unaware of their capacity to contribute to the strengthening of psychological health and confidence of the youth of their immediate social group and can strive to change this deficiency. The importance of mental health awareness and formation cannot be overemphasized in relation to such a vulnerable age period. This type of issue requires collective and integrated efforts as part of urgent attention, and creating an environment of mental well-being by providing the necessary intangible and tangible resources forms the path to a vibrant and much more sustainable society.
