Introduction
Humanity’s different problems can be ignored due to the more relevant issues that shock people worldwide. However, to construct a qualitative future, attention should be paid to many factors, even if they do not lie on the surface of modernity. This essay will consider the obesity problem through the lens of the World Health Organization video material. Prompt actions such as eating improvement and sports activities should be implemented to save people’s future and avoid further increases in obesity rates.
Issue Discussed in the Video
The material by the World Health Organization and the topic of obesity were chosen to be discussed. The most surprising and, at the same time, frustrating issue that shocked me in the video was the speaker’s words regarding people’s children’s future. The presenter in the video concludes that our children will have shorter lives if modern people do not take particular actions (World Health Organization, 2020). In addition, he says that obesity rates have tripled since 1975 (World Health Organization, 2020). Therefore, I was surprised by the cruciality of the problem and realized that prompt actions should be constructed to save humanity’s future.
Prevention Strategies
According to the World Health Organization (2020), “that means physical activity and eating right starting from early life” (00.00.10). Better access to affordable and healthy food is one of the most important steps to reduce obesity rates worldwide (World Health Organization, 2020). One should understand the problem of obesity is caused primarily by people’s inability to acquire qualitative products due to their lack of financial capabilities (Mehrzad, 2020). In addition, practical work should be implemented in schools to teach children from an early age the importance of physical activities and proper eating. It should be explained that it will significantly decrease the possibility of many diseases and adverse outcomes.
Conclusion
In conclusion, it is essential to highlight the necessity of paying attention to all parts of human lives, not only to the most relevant happenings. Things lying in the background may be the most dangerous compared to those on the agenda. Parents should contribute to their children’s sports activity and healthy eating to reduce the problems with obesity and save their future.
