The purpose of this study is to describe the experiences of academic nurses in their interactions with clinical nurses. Both work to implement knowledge-based development in hospitals. This study uses a descriptive qualitative design, which will be applied in future research. To conduct the analysis, the authors recruited fourteen academic nurses with master’s or doctoral degrees from three different regions. As a result of the study, it was found that nurses focused on creating a practice-related research culture to engage clinical nurses.
Additionally, academic nurses experienced the successful involvement of clinical nurses in mutual work. Such an interaction promoted a subsequent change in patient care practices and ward nursing workflows. The process was made possible through the pedagogical measures of academic nurses, who trained clinical nurses. Academic nurses who used a practical approach to research and implementation exerted an equally important influence. The analysis showed that despite the availability of several evidence-based models of practice, researchers should use specific models. These models will be a guideline for conducting research in various scientific directions in practice. The choice should be made in favor of the model that best suits the patient, rather than the philosophy that supports it. Therefore, the article is a sufficient source to confirm or refute the effectiveness of one of the research models in nursing.

To identify methods of reducing time with the involvement of a nurse, data were collected on the average length of stay and the rate of patients leaving without examination in the city’s emergency department. As a result, it was found that “the nurse’s standard work helped reduce the average length of stay in the emergency department” (Williams et al., 2022, p.666). The article examines the need for an early definition of clinical deterioration after discharge from the emergency department. It has been demonstrated that this process can facilitate timely intervention and enhance patient outcomes. Therefore, all patients of any age, after examination and discharge home, had the right to report any deterioration in health and return to the hospital. For calls from patients, a specific block diagram and a standard algorithm were used. The purpose of such a call was to improve the early recognition of deteriorating patients.
The results of the project also revealed patients to whom the nurses themselves called by phone after discharge, as well as the proportion of patients who met the criteria for deterioration. The study is effective because it demonstrates that this practice has reduced the number of dissatisfied patients and the number of those who experienced deterioration. The article will be used as a material in further research, as it contains data on methods for improving the quality of care and provides clear steps for implementation.

To find out, a qualitative study was conducted involving four registered nurses and doctors from emergency hospitals in Quebec.
