Vision
To make African Adventure Group a worldwide holiday agent of choice.
Mission statement
At Africa Adventure Tours and Travel, we are determined to provide exciting specialist and tailor-made holiday and excursion experiences for groups, families, honeymooners and individuals covering car hire; airline bookings; hotel and lodges bookings; conferences and meeting services; and entertainment. We cover several countries in the East African, South African and West Africa regions (Joyce & Woods, 2001).
Code of conduct
The Group is committed to quality, customer satisfaction and integrity. This will be made possible by high standards of ethical behavior and practices by our employees. This will be supported by a devoted corporate culture that implements the groups code of conduct and all partners of the group- directors, employees, subsidiaries and officers-will endeavor to protect this. This means all partners will commit to the following:
- Stringent adherence to the law.
- Honesty in all dealings, both personal and business.
- Justice and respect.
- Personal responsibility both as a staff of the Group and civilian.
- Practice good judgment in trade and operational decisions that have the capacity to affect the conduct of the Group.
- Mindful of the Groups effects on other people and environment (Tabatoni, Davies & Barblan, 2000).
Market target
Africa Adventure Group targets as customers, individuals, groups and families that are interested in Africa’s rich wildlife, cultural and biodiversity experience, scenery, sun-bathed sandy beaches and relaxation. Services are made to suite customers’ needs and financial capability. (Joyce & Woods, 2001).
Market niche
Africa Adventure Group distinguishes itself by being an ecotourism provider. Our products targets individuals and groups that are interested in environmental sustainable tourism where they intend to leave as small negative effects as possible to the areas they visit. Also those interested in visiting exceptionally conserved areas and those areas that are not open for mass tourism. (Joyce & Woods, 2001).
Challenges Africa Adventure Group has both domestically and globally
- Lack of quality information about Africa and tourism destinations.
- Graft and corruption is another challenge as one seeks services especially in public offices.
- Another related problem is bureaucratic red tappism, this delays vital documentation and services.
- Underdeveloped tourism infrastructure.
- Threats of mass tourism in ecologically sensitive areas.
- Effects of global economic recession have also been felt here.
- Competition from more advanced and better served destinations in Europe and Middle East (Hitt, Ireland & Hoskisson, 2007).
