The visit to the Al-Qahtani Pipe Coating Terminal was highly informative and exciting. This is my first job, and this was my first chance to visit a professional facility, so I found the tour both productive and encouraging. I had the opportunity to observe the employees of this leading pipe-coating company as they engaged in various processes. In addition, it was possible to scrutinize safety measures and perceive the general atmosphere of the terminal.
Since its foundation in 1954, the Al-Qahtani Pipe Coating Terminal has greatly increased the range of services it offers and has started employing technological advantages at every stage of its work (“Al-Qahtani Pipe Coating Terminal”). The presence of modern technological breakthroughs was evident in every areaof production. The most enlightening process that was demonstrated to us was the production of a butt-welded pipe. I was able to see the process in detail, and it was both highly professional and fascinating to observe.
Visitors to the Al-Qahtani Pipe Coating Terminal would invariably notice the attention paid to safety measures by employees and guests. Every person inside the terminal must wear a helmet for protection from the danger of falling materials or other risks. All workers wear goggles or special glasses to protect their eyes from tiny pieces of metal and other substances. In addition, fire extinguishers are located in visible and accessible places, and every worker knows how to use this tool in case of emergency.
The only unpleasant aspect of the visit was the noise level in the terminal. It was almost impossible to hear anything that the guide was saying. It would be helpful to install a loudspeaker or give visitors headphones to allow them to hear valuable information. In spite of this disadvantage, I found the excursion engaging. I am grateful to my company for arranging this vital tour.
