Ethics play a significant role in the development of the healthcare industry. Many medical practices include this aspect in the communication between doctors and patients to increase trust. The research paper provided by Blackford et al. (2021) shows the perspectives of the healthcare area when ethics promotion is introduced in Australia. The authors have used diverse data collection methods like face-to-face meetings, surveys, and in-depth individual interviews to make the statistics more correct. The results have shown that ethical health promotion could be more significant as some limitations and barriers were identified. One of the main problems is that specific population groups cannot follow ethical rules due to cultural beliefs. Even though the relationship with patients is becoming more loyal, the professional medical opportunities did not change significantly, and the term “ethical practice” stays unknown to some workers in the industry. The research conclusion states that the support of ethical frameworks may allow the health practice to become more efficient.
Medical workers are the professionals who should support people in difficult situations. Consequently, they play an important role in resolving different ethical issues. Doctors constantly face the dilemma when patients want to hear one piece of information, but in reality, doctors have to say controversial information which might not satisfy an individual. This is the ethical question that the professional should deeply analyze to make the right choice. When doctors decide to say trust, they promote ethics in the healthcare sphere and make an improvement in their careers. Moreover, it is crucial to educate young specialists to understand how to stay ethical in relation to patients, and specific classes in colleges and universities should not be underestimated. The work of medical workers, in this case, is to avoid conflicts, provide ethical assistance, and protect the security of visitors. By considering these important factors, doctors might have more chances to resolve ethical issues in communication with the patients.
There are several ethical principles that state specific ethical rules crucial in the healthcare industry. For instance, National Association for Healthcare Quality or HAHQ (2018) has a set of rules called the Code of Ethics, and it includes such aspects as self, recipients, colleagues, employees, providers, purchases, researchers, regulators, and the public. Medical experts form specific relationships with all groups of people related to the industry. For example, doctors should express empathy to recipients as they are the most vulnerable stakeholders, and they want to keep their data secured from others. Moreover, experienced professionals should provide other doctors with consultancies to support the level of healthcare.
Ethical relationships and issue-resolving should be related to the aspects that do not affect doctors and patients straightly. Medical workers can try to reduce waste by compromising with purchasers and investing in environmental programs. Moreover, a strict documentation process should stay crucial in the industry. It makes it easier for workers to follow the updates in patients’ diagnoses and avoid problems related to the lost information like the results of different tests. When experts understand how to increase the trust level of patients and avoid ethical conflicts, the healthcare improves, and the community might become less afraid of hospital visits. Engagement with people positively influences both patients’ and doctors’ experiences. Consequently, communication between these two parties and doctors may play a significant role in resolving conflicts related to ethics.
