Antoni was from Spain and did the work of the art nouveau and was famous for the unique style and the individual designs he had. He was lame and therefore could not play with other age-mates due to arthritis in his legs then he was not able to walk but instead used the donkey that enabled his movement from one place to another. Been an architect than he never performed well in the classwork but did well in drawing and the projects that were given in class by their teacher but in the other things, he was very poor and never had much concern on them as he was not able to reach the target.
He was a strong catholic in his life although at first, he did secular work thus he had to abandon so that he can be strong in his catholic religion as his friends were strong in the church therefore he had to follow them in whatever he did so that he could get assistance in most of his life which was not very welcoming due to the family background.
His first works were in the style of gothic and the traditional modes of his country but he later developed his own style which was distinct from the style that was used in that place during that time. he did his work using his style even though he had much influence from the gothic architecture therefore this means that he used both of the modes in his work as they were both used in his work and thus the design work was part of him as he was able to design things like for example the la Sagrada Familia.
He did designing of buildings that were seen to be very attractive as he was able to make a design that seemed to be real from the outward look. Nothing was problematic to him because he made use of the raw materials that were available in the area at that time and thus he was very much committed to his work at all levels and also did decoration of the surfaces using the broken tiles that were available. He liked his work very much as he borrowed from nature most of the raw materials that he used for the design work and he also used the steel rods for reinforcement which allowed his designs to resemble those in the environment making it hard to make the differences of the designed items and the real ones. He attracted many people from different countries who were attracted by the ceramics he decorated and therefore he became very famous due to his work.
Many of his buildings resembled the sculptural configurations and thus many of the people who were attracted by his work saw the need to purchase most of his designs. He was also able to improvise designs from odd bits of materials where he made designs that were like those that existed in the environment.
