Men and women have a lot of differences which had been studied for years because of their considerable scientific and public interest. Many obvious divergences can be perceptible in physical appearance, psychological and social roles. According to the article Are There Differences between the Brains of Males and Females? By Doctor Sabattini, the difference between men’s and women’s behavior is the result of their brains characteristics.

The social roles evolution is a key moment of the appearance of the difference. At the beginning of civilization, men and women were not so much different. However, due to the various social roles, women got advanced in multitask and men got skills to routes remembering. Women had to care about children and teach them their survival abilities. As the result, today women are better at teaching. Besides, they tend to be better in empathy, social and verbal efficiency. Also, women are good at communication with neighbors as they account for their speaking skills. Men were out of home and could easily orientate themselves on place and time. They were good at remembering roads due to the necessity of this skill for hunting.

Doctor Sabattini says that men are more impulsive and analytic than women; however, psychological illnesses are distinct between men and women (2000). Women have more inclination to depression and addiction. Nevertheless, women can cope with stress better than men. They have to care about themselves and their children. The human body produces the hormone oxytocin which is released during stress; estrogen enhances this hormone, whereas testosterone reduces its effects (Zimbargo, 2009, p. 97).

The divergence of behavior is the result of different brain compositions. For example, a women’s brain contains more cells than men’s one. Researches show that at birth, a boy’s brain is bigger than a girl’s one. The average brain of boys is about 12-20% larger than that of girls (Zimbargo, 2009, p. 114). Such statistics conditions the differences in the way of getting information, language process, cognition, and emotional reaction. Additionally, men’s and women’s brains respond differently when it comes to food (Zimbargo, 2009, p. 318).

I agree with the statement that the difference in the way men and women estimate time and carry out mental mathematical calculations leads to the fact that there are many more male mathematicians and engineers than female ones (Sabbatini, 2000). Sabbatini says that the difference between men’s and women’s brains are not the reason for saying that men are better than women. I am sure of the importance of sex education as an issue that can gather men and women acts. Good sex education can help prevent many problems such as early pregnancy and the spreading of diseases. Besides, I agree with the statement of the importance of sex education for the avoidance of youth violence. Nevertheless, this topic activates many discussions. Many people are confident about the negative effect of sex education. I am sure that an official program can be better than different doubtful sources of information such as media and the internet.

I suppose that the influence of society is also a very important issue that affects human behavior. The present article doesn’t consider this issue. I think that social roles within modern fashion have a considerable effect and might be discovered in the article.

Men’s and women brain’s have many differences due to the evolution process. Women are more emotional and talkative; men are more practical and logical. Those differences are well-documented and explored. Nevertheless, it is a very interesting field of research because of its importance in daily life.
