In addition to the above problems, excessive consumption of caffeine can cause headaches and insomnia. However, this substance can work as a drug because the above symptoms appear when refusing to take caffeine (Ko 4). From this, it follows that this substance should be abandoned gradually so as not to cause stress in the body associated with a sharp cessation of intake.

High caffeine intake is also associated with impaired sleep function and decreased recovery after heavy exercise (Ko 4). This is due to the substance’s vasoconstrictive properties, which reduce the flow of blood to the brain. Caffeine’s effect on the cardiovascular system is one of the most detrimental, and therefore, people should be more careful about dosages. The causes of some heart problems may be due to the frequent drop in blood pressure that can be caused by drinking large amounts of coffee. Because of this, it is essential to limit dosages to such an extent that the body does not start to get used to them.

Solutions

Reducing caffeine intake is essential to restore proper sleep and wake patterns, as well as eliminate anxiety, headaches, and insomnia. To avoid these side effects, people should not abruptly stop consuming caffeine, as this can lead to a worsening of symptoms. It works in this way because of the addiction that a person develops to this substance.

However, gradually reducing caffeine intake can produce a permanent positive effect that will allow one to increase productivity and restore the correct life cycle. People who regularly consume foods containing said substance can find it difficult to avoid it, but it is necessary for the optimal functioning of bodily functions. As an optimal solution, switching to alternative products that do not contain caffeine can be suggested. It is important to emphasize that the abuse of any substance can bring negative consequences for the body.
