The quality of education that parents offer to their have an impact on life successes that the children will have in future. In Saudi Arabia, the government does not restrict parents to educate their children in a certain school whether private or public; however, parents for various reasons, they choose the schools for their children. This paper compares and contracts private, and public schools in Saudi Arabia.

Discussion

In 1932, when Saudi Arabia became independent, the country education system had been limited to the well to do in the economy until when it economically developed and declared all public schools to be free of charge from primary school all the way to high school.

Private schools on the other hand are establishments made by entrepreneurs with the aim of offering high quality education and then charging certain fee for the service. In this business, the government has minimal role that it plays; however, the syllabus should follow the one prescribed by the ministry of education. The schools are both Muslims and non-Muslims

When comparing the quality of education in the two set ups, private schools have an upper hand, they offer quality education and have a policy of value for money; parents are also empowered by the authorities to question and give their recommendations on what should be done. The entrepreneurs have to comply with Saudi Arabian labor laws employs teachers in private schools. Managers of these schools ensure that the schools have high discipline and moral standing as a move to attract more businesses.

Although Saudi Arabian public schools are among the world’s best-managed schools, the large number of students experienced can be blamed for its lower ranking in performance, quality and discipline. Some classes have even up to forty students; this is a challenge to the management to control the students’ activity at every single stage.

The ministry of education who delegate the supervisory power to head teachers and district supervisors pays teachers; when there is a conflict, the ministry is actively involved for the good of the country.

In games, some private schools have better game facilities as well as talent management programs; they are some of the projects that have been implemented to attract a higher number of students and persuade parents to bring their children to a certain school. When they are competing, they compete with their counterparts in public schools where they outdo then especially in indoor games. When it comes to outdoor games like football and volleyball, public schools are favored by their large number to have stronger teams.

The small number of students in the private schools makes teachers be able to realize, nature, grow and develop individual students talents, the move has been reflected in real life situations where those from private schools seem more focused on their personal capabilities through the development of their talent; this is shaped when they are schooling.

In private high schools, the curriculum adopted by most school has extra curriculum activities forming a strong base of the schools, the activities are more emphasized than in public schools. This makes students from the schools all-round educated and socialized. Those students excelling in sports and showing extra potentials, their parents are advised to invest in the child in that line.

Although Saudi Arabian government does not restrict parents on where they will educate their children, it ensures that both private and public schools in the economy are of high quality.
