Introduction
The comprehensive primary care initiative is a multi-player initiative that aims to establish a collaboration between private and public healthcare payers to enhance and strengthen the primary care sector. This means that Medicare will work with state health insurance and commercial plans and give bonuses to primary caregivers in a better position to coordinate care for their patients (Comprehensive Primary Care Initiative, 2022).
Discussion
In addition, primary care practices that agree to participate in this initiative will be rewarded with resources so as to equip them with resources that perfectly coordinate primary care for their Medicare victims. This initiative best benefits APRN practices because it gives a way to break through the notion of the historical impasse by allowing payers to join Medicare in investing in primary care. Efficient methods in every market were invited to join and participate and begin delivering eligible practices in every market.
As a nurse leader, our organization has been able to give patients control of their overall health as well as well-being. This is one of the substantial advantages of the initiative as it helps leaders develop practices and culture to achieve responsive and better empathetic primary care. Even though the public is not used to nurses being leaders, this initiative has enabled nurses to become leaders in the implementation, design, evaluation, advocacy, and ongoing reforms to the practices that will be needed to enhance quality in the primary care sector.
Conclusion
In conclusion, this initiative has positively affected our organization because our patients can now access better quality assistance between public and personal healthcare providers. Moreover, we have been equipped with resources that assist in delivering quality primary care for Medicare patients.
