The introduction of CLRT beds falls in line with existing evidence and appears to be an effective solution for preventing pressure injuries. However, additional action may be effective in helping bot medical professionals and patients work around potential pressure injuries. Education, and evidence-based practice plays a vital role in promoting competent, high quality care in medical settings. It is vital that medical workers are able to receive adequate and timely training at their time of employment. The process helps their practice evolve and change with the emerging evidence in the field.
Therefore, it is necessary to include educational opportunities in the process of addressing pressure injury. According to research, nurse education and training has a potential to improve the nurses’ capability to care for patients with pressure injury risk (Yan et al., 2021). Therefore, training programs should also be included into the change initiative, as a way to help medical personnel adapt to the use of CLRT beds, and promote better standards of care. It is possible to include education programs into nurse routines, and initiate them through different means. Nursing managers can give their subordinates the necessary information, or invite experts in order to discuss the subject of pressure injury care. Nurses that work in specific parts of the hospital can additionally receive instruction that takes their working conditions into account. Furthermore, patient education can also be included in the process, through direct teaching or pamphlets, online guides (Team et al., 2019). allowing hospital visitors to prevent potential instances of pressure injuries during home stay or hospice care.
