Introduction
Advancement in data science as a field of study has led to the development of new technologies such as machine learning, data analytics, and artificial intelligence. The three technologies are closely related as they utilize big data to aid innovations (Kibria et al., 2018). Data science greatly impacts how people understand the world and can be used to make the environments sustainable, healthcare systems more efficient, and guide advancements in engineering using AI, among many other positive reasons.
Discussion
Managers are among the groups of people who use data science knowledge in their daily lives. They often take advantage of past information and trends to aid their decision-making in recruiting talented employees, identifying business opportunities, and guiding business opportunities. Managers who use data analytics when making business decisions perform better than those who do not (Ferraris et al., 2018). Therefore, all people, including managers, need to take advantage of this fast-growing field to have a competitive advantage over others and enhance their understanding of the environment, biology, and people’s culture.
Data science helps track and implement policies that help countries reduce environmental degradation. They will collect, record, clean, prepare, process, analyze, and provide guidance on how governments should act. Data science can help describe how the current state of the environment is compared with how it was in the past. They can then use these past trends to tell how the situation will be (Kibria et al., 2018). Moreover, data analytics can help formulate the best strategy to reduce climate change, boost biological processes, and know how to deal with different people.
Conclusion
Data science greatly impacts how people understand the world and can be used to make the environment sustainable and healthcare systems more efficient, among other benefits. It is, therefore, important for various stakeholders to make it their custom to use data in understanding contexts and making business decisions. As the field continues to get more advanced, it will boost the understanding of society in many other aspects of life.
