I support Thomas Friedman’s idea that there is not only an American and a European labor market because people evolve and progress; nothing stands still (Rodriguez, 2020). Robert Reichs assertions are the opposite of Friedman’s theory. Reich believed the American labor market was the most important and should be more developed than the others (Schrecker, 2020). I also agree with Drucker’s idea that people with management and information processing skills work in the information society.
I believe that Ducker and Friedman’s concept will influence the possibility of my future employment. If the concepts of labor market globalization had not been developed, I would not be able to work for an international company. I want to be able to work for a large company that works with many countries after I graduate.
I have many skills that will be relevant in an evolving global economy, which I continue to develop. My main interest is digital technology, which is very important in today’s world, as large companies value knowledgeable employees. The next skill I have is adapting easily to a new environment. I can easily talk to a stranger, so communication will not be a problem. I like learning foreign languages, and I plan to learn several of them. My main value in life is constant development. A human being is created to develop and progress.
In order to improve my current skills, I need to practice and study these topics in more depth. To become a valuable employee, I need to know my business and keep developing. I plan to take continuing education courses to be as competitive as possible in the international job market. This is the only way to achieve certain heights and build a successful career.
