From birth to three months most infants begin to raise heads slightly when lying on stomachs, hold hand in a fist, touch, pull and tug own hands with fascination and repeat body movements and enjoy doing so. From three months to six months, babies are quickly becoming stronger and more agile and most begin to roll over, reach for and touch objects, reach grasps and put objects in mouth.

From six months to nine months, child proofing becomes important as babies get more mobile and begin to crawl grasp and pull things towards self. At year one walking and self-initiated movement becomes easier and most children’s can walk alone. At age five, children are now more confident and most are able to walk backwards, jump forward many times without falling. Hence as a result, inorder for a child to develop well, proper prenatal care should be well ministered. (John, 2007).

Good medical care is very much vital for the growth of infants. During pregnancy, it is the role of the mother to ensure that she attends clinics in order for the health of the baby and the mother to be checked. Pre-natal care is the care you get while you are pregnant and is provided by doctors, mid-wife or other health care professional. Pre-natal care is very much vital since it’s through the regular attendance of these clinics that the health of the baby and the mother is checked inoder to ensure proper pregnancy.

Incase the mother lacks pre-natal care, in some cases the baby may have complications during birth. In case a mother lacks proper exercise or excessive labor during her pregnancy, certain complications may occur and hence as a result leading to abnormal births and hence as a result pregnant mothers are advised to attend pre-natal care in order to have normal births. (John, 2007).

Certain influences contribute to the physical development of a child include family influences. For instance in a setting where by the parents are not upright may influence the development of a child. A child brought up by daggered parents may end up being a draggared too since that is the family setting the child has being brought up in. If the child has being brought up by God fearing parents then the child will end up by fearing God and this as a result will lead to proper development of the child at the later ages.

Childhood influences may also lead to the physical development of a child in the sense that if the other age mates are behaving well then the child can copy good behaviors like respecting their parents but if the other children do not respect their parents then this child will grow up a being notty.physical activity, genetics and nutritional can also influence the development of a child. For instance if the baby has been born by one of the parents being a thief, then automatically the child may inherit those genes and end up also being a thief. Poor nutrition may also affect the health of the baby and lead to some diseases like kwashiorkor and marasmus and hence this might affect the baby thinking in future. (John, 2007).

Safe leeeping environments for children are also vital and hence need to provide a secure physical and emotional sleeping environment for children.

Normal development of a child includes gross motor that is using groups of muscles to sit, stand, walk, run, sit, keeping balance and changing positions and hence vital for the development process of a child. Fine motor is using hands to be able to eat, draw, dress, and play and to write. Language is in speaking, using body language and gestures, communicating and understanding what others say. A child’s IQ depends on the quality of family environment he gets in the first two years of life been the most crucial. The quality of parenting provided by the parents also influence the way in which a child grows and behaves in the later stages of life. Children raised in a cordial and helpful atmosphere are known to perform better both in academics as well as social behavior. A child who is not getting enough nourishment, sleep, exercise and attention may experience slowed growth.

However, even the best conditions will not make children grow taller than their genes have determined for them. Marital status may also influence the development of the child in the sense that if born by a single parent the child at the old age will question the mother about the other parents whereabouts. if both parents don’t cope well, the child will later cope those behaviors and hence parents should be a good example to their children. Their surrounding mostly influences social emotions of a child. if the child interacts with bad peers then the child will cope those behaviors and later be a bad person in future. The parents themselves can also influence the feelings of the child. If they set a good example to the child, then the child can be good also in future. (Spock, 2001).

Physical development of a child is very vital for the growth of a child and hence it’s the role of mothers to ensure that proper certain influences that impact on the development of a child are available like good medical care and the physical surrounding of the child.
