As well as Tarantino’s other movies, his Django Unchained has made a great impression on me. However, this film is a little different from other works of the director because of including the theme of slavery. The most important lesson that I learned from Django Unchained is that there may be a solution to the worst problems. One only needs to be in the right place and at the right time to be able to save one’s life. Thus, despite all the scenes of cruelty, which were filled with Tarantino’s characteristic humor, I consider this movie to be a positive story.
The aspect of Django Unchained that I could relate to is the slavery issue. I feel rather sympathetic to people who suffer, and slavery is one of the saddest and most merciless systems that have ever existed. I cannot understand why so many people had to suffer merely because of their racial distinction. Thus, I was happy to see how Django was released in the film, and then was assisted in making his wife free.
Even though some might say that there are too many murders in the movie, I am willing to justify them because of the ultimate good that these actions did to the innocent man and his spouse. It was pleasant to see that despite his cruelty to others, Schultz treated Django as an equal man. I think that the movie is a good lesson on humanity and true love that wins in spite of anything.
